Costs & closing
When your Arkansas home sells, the state charges a real property transfer tax of $3.30 for every $1,000 of your sale price. It applies to deals over $100 — so, nearly every home sale. Rate source: Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration — Real Property Transfer Tax (Ark. Code §26-60-101 et seq.), as of 2026-08-27. Source · Ark. Code §26-60-101 et seq.
None of that tax goes to HomeRise. HomeRise is not a licensed brokerage. With Essentials or Advanced, HomeRise charges two flat fees: the plan price when you activate your listing, then a closing compliance fee — $495 or $995, depending on your plan — charged only if your home sells. That closing fee covers MLS compliance, document review, and closing coordination. Prefer a licensed agent? Full Service matches you with one — no upfront fee, and the agent is paid 1% or 1.75% at closing.
A title company or a real-estate attorney typically runs your Arkansas closing, not HomeRise. They handle the final paperwork and collect the transfer tax with your other closing costs, itemized on one closing statement. HomeRise's part comes earlier — a compliance call before your listing goes live, so it meets Arkansas MLS rules. That call doesn't replace title insurance, and it doesn't collect any tax.
Pick a plan above and start your listing. After the compliance call, your home goes live on the Arkansas MLS, and you manage showings and offers from your HomeRise dashboard. Accept an offer, and the title company or attorney takes it from there — your exact numbers, transfer tax included, land on the closing statement. We don't show a tax calculator here until a title partner signs off on the math.

Arkansas seller rules
The 2024 NAR settlement changed how buyer agent commissions work in Arkansas. Commissions are no longer pre-set on the MLS, giving sellers full discretion. Whether to offer a buyer-agent commission, and how much, is your decision. HomeRise advisors can help you think through the strategy for your area and timeline.
Arkansas sellers must follow Arkansas disclosure and closing rules. HomeRise is not a licensed brokerage. The compliance call reviews your listing so it meets Arkansas MLS rules. That call does not replace required disclosures, title work, or legal advice. Specific form names are omitted here until a statute is fetched.
